Who is Nico?

Nico is a company that provides translation, simultaneous translation and specialist consultancy services.

What details do we hold and how do we use them?

Your details are part of a database that we hold which is used solely for the purpose of informing you about Nico’s products and services and/or news or information about us. This activity falls into the GDPR “legitimate business interests” category.

The details that we hold are your name, email address at the organisation you work for and the organisation’s postal address.

Who can access your details?

All details are stored securely on our servers and can only be accessed by Nico’s Directors who are involved in providing information about our products and services. When sending bulk emails, email addresses are loaded to the website of a provider of bulk e-mailing services, via a secure login. The provider is MailChimp and their compliance with GDPR can be found here. Your details are not shared with any other organisation.

Your rights

Your details will be held whilst Nico continues to market its products and services but if you wish to be removed from our database at any time, you can email post@nico.cymru informing us of this. You will also have the opportunity to ‘unsubscribe’ to further marketing activity on each communication that we send out. In addition you have the right to:

Access any data we hold on you.
Rectify any inaccuracies in data we hold on you.
Limit any processing on data we hold on you.

If you are not satisfied with Nico’s response, or believe we are not processing your personal data in accordance with the law you can make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues (www.ico.org.uk). We would, however, appreciate the chance to deal with your concerns before you approach the ICO so please contact us in the first instance.
